Our Power of Movement (POM) was a great success this year. There was AMAZING energy that filled the Winnipeg Art Gallery. We also had a lot of fun events leading up to this great fundraiser class. Below are links to pictures from each event. The actual pictures from POM will be up soon.
This awesome fundraising class was a great success. All of our Haiti Relief efforts at Moksha Yoag Winnipeg have helped us raise over $10 000. This money was split between Canadian Red Cross and Free The Children. SEE PICS FROM OUR HIP HOP CLASSES
The detox challenge was indeed a challenge. This is how it should be. Greatness rises from adversity and all the particpants got to feel amazing change in their body and in their habits. Great work everyone!
Our first ever Summer 30 Day Challenge was a huge success. Awesome collector shirts, great energy throughout, fun workshops and one AMAZING PHOTO SHOOT that will be in a gallery exhibit on August 20th in our upstairs studio. Can't wait for that. Power Of Movement 2009 was hosted right here at MYW and it was a GREAT success. Our participants raised over $7000 for Arthritis Research. Check out all the great pics at the MYW FLICKR PAGE.
Once again, MYW hosted Philly D's Inspirational Hip Hop Yoga class and it was another sold out gathering of great music, positive vibes and fun movement. More and more people are getting dressed up. Keep it going! Here are PICTURES. Check out for the next one and start planning your outfit.
Our first ever Sangha [community] Bingo was a monster success. Players signed up, got a bingo card and then went about filling it out. Example squares were 'Take Phil's Class', or take 'Alison's Class,' or 'Eat only Organic Today. All our teachers were on the board and it helped our students grow their own practice by exploring new teachers and new styles of yoga. It also gave us the opportunity to get feedback to every teacher. Thank you to everyone who participated. Watch out for the next Sangha Bingo in 2009.
Philly D officially launched his fun filled Hip Hop Yoga class here in Winnipeg. He has been touring this class to studios all over the globe and now it's here in his home town!
